I don't see the harm in military service; however, I have to disagree with three generations of citizenship.
Are we limiting our future politics entirely on old American born blood lines? If politics are not for regular civilians paying taxes every year then whom are they for? What problems does three generations of citizenship solve? Does it rule out greed, or corruption? What are the differences between a third generation citizenship candidate from a first generation born in America? America is becoming more and more diversified whether us citizens approve or not. Hence, we need to recognize and take full advantage of given what has begin already and diversify. Instead, three generations of citizenship would prevent us from seeing the light of diversification in our world. I say, forget the generations of citizenship, any current citizen that has the education, military service requirement, moral, and desire to do good should not be discriminated and given a chance.
I would rather have the candidate go through the same background check and polygraph tests that some of law enforcement are required to. I think that should produce more of a qualified and trustworthy politician than a ridiculous three generation of citizenship. If law enforcers are selected through a tough procedure why not the do the same for the advocates of peoples' rights?
